Benny Goodman and Woody Herman are among the legendary big band artists. Our set features three jazz charts that helped make them famous. Paul Murtha has arranged these tunes masterfully for your beginning ensemble. To help out, the bass line is in unison and covered by all the low brass and woodwind voices. This set is a nice way to introduce your beginners to early jazz and big band music. It is also a way for the band director to bring some music from the early years into the classroom! Enjoy!
